This site is a summary of the information I find as I research the genealogy of the Jordan/Garrison family. My starting points are my grandparents, Jake Albert Jordan and Norma Jean Garrison, but as time goes by the research will expand into branches with more distant relatives. I hope to post family trees, stories, pictures, and links to further information. Please note that information for living persons will be limited to matters of public record (birth, marriage, etc.) or in some cases omitted entirely to protect the privacy of those involved.
Genealogy is not an exact science. Sometimes I am able to find conclusive records, but often I am forced to draw conclusions based on context clues. I will make every effort to specify when information is speculative. I will also cite sources whenever possible. It is likely that posted information will change as new documentation is found. I will attempt to revise postings as necessary, but please bear in mind that it is likely revisions will be missed as time goes by. If contradicting information is found you may assume that the more recent post is the most accurate.

The working version of the family tree is on Ancestry.com. If you would like to view the tree please email me at sarahturner79@gmail.com and I will grant you access to view the tree. You will need to sign up for an Ancestry.com account, but you will not be charged a membership fee. Please understand that the information on the tree changes often as I find new documentation. What is there today may not be there tomorrow. If the family tree contradicts this blog you may assume that the blog has the most reliable information.
